Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapy

I provide counseling to individuals who have independently chosen to use psychedelics such as Psilocybin, Ayahuasca, or MDMA. People who use psychedelics deserve care and support.

I am available to work with clients who have independently chosen to explore therapeutic experiences with various psychedelic medicines, including but not limited to Psilocybin, MDMA, LSD, Ayahuasca, Mescaline, San Pedro, Ibogaine, and DMT. Each of these substances has unique properties, and I am committed to providing a supportive and integrative space for individuals who seek healing outside traditional medicine.

I cannot sit for these medicines, provide advice, or endorse the use of psychedelic medicines as mental health treatments. These substances have not met the standard of evidence-based treatments yet. Much research is still needed. However, I recognize that some individuals choose to explore these substances independently, often due to frustration with the conventional medical system and limited access to alternative treatments. As a social worker and harm reductionist, my priority is to promote safety and offer support to those who decide to engage with these substances. My role involves providing guidance on minimizing potential risks, promoting responsible use, and integrating client’s experiences into their lives in a way that prioritizes well-being.

It's essential for clients considering psychedelic therapy to engage in thorough discussions with their healthcare provider, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the potential risks, benefits, and legal implications associated with the chosen substances.

An example of the way that I may work with clients and sacred medicine is helping a client prepare for an international ibogaine retreat and then offer continued support and integration once they come home. Another way I might offer support is to assist clients who have had a “bad trip” or spiritual emergency find their footing and integrate their experience. I can also provide assessment to rule out conditions that may make psychedelics more dangerous like bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or dissociative disorders.

If you are interested in exploring psychedelic-assisted therapy, we can collaborate to create a personalized and safe therapeutic journey that aligns with your goals and needs. It is my mission to create spaces where humans can have important conversations like these and never feel misaligned.
